Adaptive Cards and Aadhaar Number Masking top Today’s New Connectors List

Have you noticed that sifting through the choices of Power Automate connectors is like an amusement park designed for nerds?

What these connectors do can be so much fun and they can make your job so much easier! There are two new connectors; one from CardPlatform that addresses the use of adaptive cards while the other, IN-D Aadhaar Number Masking, handles the removal of leading Aadhaar numbers. And BONUS, there’s a significant number of actions added to Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge NXT. Let’s check these out!

The CardPlatform Power Automate connector offers an alternative method to send adaptive cards to users via email, similar to that offered by Microsoft Approvals flow. But, it lacks the built-in adaptive card creator that you will find in other connectors. When your special circumstances dictate a need to send adaptive cards this connector offers actions that include:

  • Create, update, or delete a private template
  • Find a private template
  • Get a private or public template
  • List private or public templates
  • Populate a private or public template with the data and returns a fully populated adaptive card
  • Send an adaptive card, or an approval adaptive card, and return the response with the choice and fields entered
  • Send an adaptive card as a message

Rating: 2 out of 5.

A fall back option for unique needs. Two stars.

The IN-D Aadhaar Number Masking connector is the fourth Power Automate connector from IN-D. This connector removes the first 8 digits of an Aadhaar image or QR code/PII Redaction. (Perhaps I’m alone in this, but I didn’t know what an Aadhar number is.) An Aadhaar number is a 12-digit unique biometric-based identifier tied to a person’s fingerprint and iris scan that is stored in a centralized database in India.

Super-useful for specific, sensitive personal information, this connector is all about security, risk management and compliance– essential for maintaining security.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

For its ability to nail this use case, four and a half stars!

If you read our posts often, you may have gathered that we don’t usually report on added actions to existing connectors because if you are using a connector already, it’s likely you’ll notice new action options on your own. New triggers, however are more often notable because they set up a flow that may better impact your work.

That said, it’s worth mentioning the additional sixteen actions that have been added to Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT connector. We were impressed by this extraordinarily well-documented, cloud-based fundraising and donor management platform when we reviewed it here and gave it five stars back in April of 2020, but we felt this slew of newly added actions deserved a mention.

Wow! We’re tiptoeing closer to the 500 mark now with 496 available Power Automate connectors. What’s on the agenda for your next project?
