Dynamics 365 & Industry Accelerators for the Financial Services Industry

Reenhanced specializes in implementing solutions for organizations in the financial services industry. We know the unique challenges, metrics and needs your company has. We understand the workflow and can help you implement a cost-effective solution to enhance the way you do business.

In some cases, using an industry accelerator can be a wonderful starting point to help you save time and money with your Dynamics 365 implementation.

How an Industry Accelerator can help you

In 2019, Microsoft launched an Industry Accelerator for financial services, aimed to get you started more quickly, more efficiently and with less up-front implementation costs. This accelerator extends the Dataverse model beyond the standard, traditional CRM entities (tables) to include some of the most-used terminology in your industry. Accelerators are no additional charge if you have a Dynamics 365 license.

Specifically, the accelerator is an excellent fit if your company has needs for Banking and/or Insurance.

Banking Industry Accelerator

When you implement the banking accelerator, you get all of the following, at no additional cost:

  • New areas (tables) of Dynamics 365 for: Financial Products, Commercial Loans, Mortgages, Home Equity, Checking Accounts, Deposit Account and 12 others
  • Forms, relationships and views for each area (table)
  • Dashboards
  • Customer 360 form
  • Workflows
  • PowerApp
  • Site map extensions

Let’s check out at what some of this looks like in a Dynamics 365 demo environment. Remember, this accelerator comes at no additional cost to you beyond your Dynamics 365 licensing. These tables each come with forms, relationships with other tables, form UI controls as you see below and more. Before this accelerator was available, a partner would charge you for each of these changes included in your requirements.

First, here is a sample Customer 360 form, which rolls up all financial information about any one person, including their financial products, referrals, branch details and more.

Now, let’s view a sample dashboard. Again, this dashboard is freely available once you implement the banking accelerator. Built on PowerBI, a branch manager can get near real-time insights on commercial loan and retail applications, either in Power BI or embedded in Dynamics 365, as shown in the image below.

Insurance Accelerator

The insurance accelerator is still listed as in preview mode, but we expect it to reach general availability (like the banking one) soon. This accelerator extends the Dataverse model for insurance-specific needs. Components include:

  • New areas (tables) of Dynamics 365: Insurance Policy, Insurance Product, Coverage, Policy Term, Claim, Agency, Insurance Company, Commission, Insurance Customer and 12 others
  • Forms, relationships and views for each area (table)
  • Dashboards
  • Customer 360 form
  • Workflows
  • PowerApp
  • Site map extensions

Here is a view of the Customer 360 form with the insurance accelerator:

And here is an example dashboard for insurance agents that looks at active claims by claim type, by date and first notice of loss:
