New Independent Publisher Connector for Zoom
I’m not quite sure why it took so long for this one – but overnight, the Zoom connector joined Power Automate. This is an Independent Publisher Connector available for use today.
What is an Independent Publisher Connector? The key difference between Independent Publisher connectors and any of the other 600+ available Power Automate connectors is that they are “developed, tested, published and supported by connector developers that are independent from the end service or API,” according to info given by Microsoft. You can learn more about that here. The two person red icon image denotes those connectors which are published independently.
At this point in time, nearly 2 years into the Covid pandemic, I don’t think there is anyone out there who hasn’t heard of Zoom. Many organizations and individuals use Zoom for free online meetings and video conferencing.
The connector has 3 actions:
- Create Meeting
- Get Meetings
- Meeting Details
That pretty much covers any action I think you’d need to or want to take with Zoom. The only thing missing here is a trigger. I’d envision some pretty awesome flows that could be crafted with an “Add New Meeting” trigger. Because of the lack of triggers, I rate this one 4 stars.
