Track That Shipment!

Track That Shipment!

The newest Power Automate connectors run the gamut from geocoding and maps, to idea tracking, fraud protection, cybersecurity, secure messaging, shipment tracking, business process automation and more. Combined, the current count of possible automation options is 601!

We have a lot to unpack with the latest drop of these ten new Power Automate connectors, but I’ll begin with the one for shipment tracking.

AfterShip

AfterShip is an independently published connector that works with the global shipment tracking solution and can trigger your automations. And, it’s only the second one we’ve identified specifically for this purpose. When conditions are met, this connector will take action on your shipment tracking. With it you can add notifications, get tracking details, or return a list of couriers. It integrates with Dynamics 365 and third-party services. You can craft some interesting flows with this Power Automate connector.

Two connectors from ArcGIS Online offer options for geocoding and maps.

Let’s check these two out.

ArcGIS Power Automate connector icon

The ArcGIS connector allows you to use your ArcGIS Online account to perform actions against location services or use your content within the system.

It’s seven actions include:

  • Create a feature layer in ArcGIS using data from an existing source.
  • Locate a single address using a geocode service resource.
  • Find multiple addresses, place names, and businesses and then display that information on a map.
  • Get facts about a location or area including information about the people, places, and businesses in a specific area or within a certain distance or drive time from a location.
  • Connect to a feature layer in ArcGIS and pull its data and attributes into your existing dataset, or create a new one.
  • Get geometry or boundary information from a feature layer and export it as Esri JSON or to a shape column in your dataset.
  • Create point-to-point routes.

Dynamics 365 COmmerce Ratings & Reviews Power Automate icon
Dynamics 365 Commerce Ratings and Reviews

Among those connectors I looked at in this post, this is the disappointment of the day with its narrow scope of actions.

It allows you to tap into user reviews within Dynamics 365 Commerce. One use case you might try would be when a user posts to a forum, you could use its action to submit the user review on the D365 Commerce page. I anticipate much more to come from this one, but for now…

The final two additions, Square Business and Square Payments, come from an independent publisher (*cough, cough* *Troy Taylor* cough*), and were delivered with what should be fireworks and fanfare.

Or a marching band…your choice.

With the Square Business connector, you can write flows that help you automate a variety of actions for customer loyalty, gift cards, bookings, financials and many more of your business process needs. With its 67 actions, I’m not sure what you won’t find!

Not to be outdone, the Square Payments connector allows you to automate your entire ecommerce suite on Square. If you can’t find a use case with any of its 87 actions, you should strongly consider a new field of work.

(Just kidding!) Seriously though, these two connectors are real power house options. Use of the two will save you a ton of time.
