Marketing, Bookings, Animal Rescue and More for Power Automate

Marketing, Bookings, Animal Rescue and More for Power Automate

Wow, wow and wow! Six Power Automate connectors for marketing, bookings and more are among the latest to drop. Five of these were created by independent publisher Troy Taylor. If being a creator is your jam, you may want to learn more from him about how to build and submit independently published connectors at this September’s Microsoft Power Platform Conference & Expo in Orlando, Florida.

Reviewing Power Automate connectors that can help you develop using automation is always exciting. For me it’s a little like a treasure hunt. So I have to remind myself to rate them according to how effective they appear to be as they stand now. I admit it’s hard to avoid giving extra stars for those which also lean in toward improving the world. And maybe I should but for consistency’s sake, I’ll stick to the plan. How about I highlight those do-good ones with a colorful header? Okay, done!

ConvertKit

The ConvertKit app strikes me as a creator as an impressive way to convert social media followers to clients and this new indy published connector automates that process. I’m definitely liking that idea! Artists, writers and performers in my experience are notorious for their lack of follow through on the gathering side of lists. Only those who are Pied Pipers with charismatic personalities as well as business acumen tend to fare well. I know, I know. Generalizing, but that’s why I said, “in my experience.”

So this connector has 27 actions that help creators to better utilize this marketing hub to grow and monetize their audience using Power Automate.

Every

If you feel strongly about finding and giving to vetted non-profit organizations, you probably want to look at sites that connect donors with non-profit recipients. The Every connector lets you automate your search for causes that interest you by tapping a database of over one million 501(c)3 organizations. Its actions target the search for you.

  • Get a list of nonprofits by cause.
  • Get the details of a nonprofit.
  • Get a list of nonprofits matching search term.

There are other non-profit explorer organizations whose connectors we’ve covered in previous posts too, though this one appears to be solid. The more information you have about a non-profit organization, the easier it is to make decisions about donating to them.

Microsoft Bookings connector icon
Microsoft Bookings

For Microsoft Office users, the Microsoft Bookings connector extends booking appointments with other power platform functionalities. To use this one requires a Bookings Business License. When a customer interacts with your business through the app, this connector triggers when a Bookings appointment is created, updated, or cancelled. Microsoft suggests use cases to tie that to whether there’s an associated Zoom appointment, maybe integrate it with a payment method using Stripe, upload data to your CRM system, or send out a welcome email. Powerful.

OneNote Consumer

Copious note-takers take heed! Using the OneNote Consumer Power Automate connector allows you to tap your Microsoft OneNote digital notebook easily and automatically. This connector is slightly less robust than its Microsoft Business brand counterpart because it lacks any triggers. Actions here let you:

  • Create a new OneNote notebook.
  • Create a new section in the specified notebook.
  • Create a new page in the specified section.
  • Get your notebooks.
  • Get a specific notebook.
  • Get a list of sections from the specified notebook.
  • Get a list of pages from the specified section.

Definitely could have used this one in college!
