New Connector Options for Content Writers and Customer Service Pros

Of the two latest Power Automate connectors to land, I’m partial to the one for content writers which, not surprisingly, comes from an independent publisher.

And, as a content writer, I’ll admit some bias. More and more, I’ve noticed that the independently published connectors are filling in many gaps that the standard ones have not addressed. Each have their place, but I’m looking forward to giving you a run down of all of them in an upcoming piece so you can see what I mean. In the meantime, let’s take a quick look at these two connectors.

Loripsum

The Loripsum connector is a real boost for content writers and graphic designers! The Loripsum.net’s API generates placeholder text. When you need lists, headings, or long paragraphs, the API uses Cicero’s full text “De finibus bonorum et malorum” to make sure you get a different placeholder text each time you use it.

Pretty handy for content creators who need to make as much headway on a copy job as possible (You know who you are!), but must await the final copy from a client or third party that always delivers 30 seconds before the deadline. Plus, I admit that their motto, “The Lorem Ipsum generator that doesn’t suck” made me giggle.

Way We Go

For customer service-oriented teams of professionals, the Way We Do connector for Power Automate automates the repetitive tasks in your day-to-day workflows. Its actions allow you to add a new user and invite them, create a new activated checklist, add a comment in a checklist step, or mark a specific step as complete.

You can get all activity for a checklist, search for a user by name or email, a checklist or checklist instance by title, or find a step of a checklist instance.

It triggers when a checklist instance is started, a comment is added to it, or when it is finished. It also triggers when a procedure is accepted, or upon generation of the supervisor invitation.

To use this connector requires a Way We Do account, which requires a monthly basic subscription rate for up to ten team members which seems a little pricey considering that we’ve identified at least nine other connectors that provide similar functions, so it might pay you to investigate further through Connector Review to be sure what best suits your needs.
