6 New Connectors in Power Automate This Weekend: Lots to Discuss!
This weekend, six new connectors were added to Power Automate, bringing the grand total to 397 currently available connectors. What a big day! The six new Power Automate connectors are: Project Roadmap, Nitro, MotaWord Translations, IN-D Payables, GetAccept and Cloudmersive Video and Media. As someone who reviews all of the new connectors, we immediately noticed two familiar faces who are adding more connectors to their growing list: Cloudmersive and IN-D. Let’s dive in a briefly review what each of these connectors can do so you can determine if they can add value to your organization’s automation needs.
Project Roadmap is a connector for Microsoft Project which allows users to combine information from multiple Waterfall and Agile projects and share it with co-workers. This connector has four actions:
- Get PortfolioLink
- Get RoadmapItemLinks for a Portfolio
- Update PortfolioLink
- Update RoadmapItemLink
This is pretty neat, and Project users will find it extremely useful.
Nitro brings a new document management option to organizations with its connector aimed to help you sign smarter, faster and more securely. It has one action (Send a signature request using a template) and one trigger (When a signature request is completed). Earlier this year, we reviewed the document signing connectors. We rated each connector based on their ability to: upload a doc, indicate where to sign, send to signers, notify when signed and notify when executed. This new player checks two of these boxes.
This is a good start, and we hope to see more actions and triggers to make it more competitive with the other players in this space.
Ah, this is cool! A connector that translates documents. They support 95+ languages and have 18,000 professional translations on staff. There are five actions:
- Launch translation project
- Initialize translation project
- Get project details
- Document translations
- Add Document(s) for translation
There is one trigger: When translation project completed.
THIS IS REALLY NEAT! We haven’t seen any translation connectors yet – I’m a fan! Just make sure you vet out their translation accuracy before signing on.
4 stars because this is a niche that wasn’t represented before! That said, I have no idea how good their translation actually is.
IN-D continues to add new connectors for their products, this week adding the Payables connector. Today, this connector has one action: Invoice Process. This allows users to process invoices and extract details like invoice numbers, PO number, vendor name and line items without needing a template.
3 stars for limited scope, but powerful capabilities for IN-D customers.
Yet another player enters the document signing connector group! If we use the same metrics we’ve used to review document signing connectors, this one checks all of the boxes:
- you can upload a document
- a document indicates where to sign
- you can send to signers
- you can be notified when signed (or reviewed or rejected)
- you can be notified when executed
There are a few requirements: documents uploaded can only be up to 10MB. PDF formats are preferred, but others can be converted (such as doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx and Mac files).
This connector has so much more than the five actions and triggers we used as our initial evaluation. This seems like a really great option to evaluate for your document signing needs.
This is a really impressive document signing connector option.
Cloudmersive adds their eighth connector with Video and Media, released over the weekend. This connector is all about video and audio, allowing you to edit, resize, convert, moderate and process media. We’re always a fan of the simplicity but power of the Cloudmersive connectors. This has 15 extremely specific actions, including:
- Split a video into two shorter videos
- Convert audio file to MP3 format
- Convert video to animated GIF format
- Resize a video without preserving aspect ratio
Great connector to edit media!
