Independent Publishers Drop New Connectors
Four more Power Automate connectors have been delivered to your doorstep that answer the questions; “What’s the weather forecast?”, “Where are we?”, “How can I keep my team interconnected?”, and “What’s up with that Spanish company I’m about to do business with?”
For this connector review, I’ll grant you that as a group, what each one does varies but they all have one thing in common: all are products of independent publishers who offer the opportunity to help you make progress through automation. These additions make 28 total in this category and available Power Automate connectors overall now number 569! Let’s get a quick overview of each of these new ones.
What’s up with that company I’m about to do business with in Spain?
From a Montenegro-based site comes the LibreBor connector. It allows users to access details about businesses on the Spanish Register, also known as the Boletín Oficial del Registro Mercantil. Accessible to the public, it contains over 5 million registered businesses in its database. The connector actions allow the user to:
- Get company incorporation or company information for specified slug.
- Get company information for specified NIF.
- Get person information for specified slug.
- Get a list of companies or people that match the keywords.
- Check validity of an NIF and return information inferred from an NIF number, such as the legal form, company type and registered province.
Three stars.
Where are we?
When you leave the bird cage open you’ll need to track the carrier pigeon. From OpenCage this connectors’ two actions let you convert coordinates of a location by place name, city or address, or by longitude/latitude. This one is the third connector we’ve identified in our connector review in the geocoding category, and the first from an independent publisher.
Simply put its actions:
Get location address details by place name, city or address OR
Get location address by latitude and longitude
Three stars.
How can I keep my team interconnected?
If you currently use Notion for your team, then this connector’s actions can get info that you need about it pages, databases, and users. But its usefulness is limited accordingly. Even so I would be remiss not to at least mention that the company has put a lot of time into making it’s site user-friendly including ample documentation, so I would also expect that it will continue to improve upon this connector.
Two stars.
What’s the weather forecast?
Weather Forecast from OpenWeather is a handy (and free) tool for travelers or those planning outdoor work that could be impacted by weather conditions. Its single action gets the weather for any city around the world simply by inputting the city and country name. OpenWeather provides historical, current and forecasted weather data through its API. I’m curious to see how this connector stacks up against AccuWeather and MSN Weather which at initial glance all purport to do the same function.
Four stars.
