Dynamics 365 & Industry Accelerator for Media & Entertainment

The industry accelerator for media and entertainment is focused on these solutions:

  • Event & venue management
  • Sports management
  • Ticket sales
  • Display & advertising sales
  • Guest management

What is an Industry Accelerator?

An Industry Accelerator allows an organization to implement some configuration and customization items into a CRM system to save on design and build time by using commonly used tables, fields, views and relationships that are common to a specific industry. A few months ago, Microsoft added a new one for the media and entertainment industry.

How does this impact you? Well, if this looks like a good place to start, it means less time building customized pieces you need and lets you get started right way using some of this design. Also, it’s free with any Dynamics 365 license. Free is always a bonus! This gives you an excellent framework to start from for any entity (table) that is a good fit.

In their β€œApril release,” Microsoft made this accelerator available to everyone.

Event & Venue Management

The event and venue management solution includes these entities (tables):

  • Venues
  • Facilities
  • Attractions, attraction tracks, and attraction schedules
  • Concession stands and partners
  • Gates
  • Hours of operations
  • Weather conditions
  • Talent
  • Media assets and asset categories

Also included are forms, dashboards and other assets to help show and cull together reporting on event and venue management.

The focus here is to track the journey from a potential customer or casual guest to becoming a deeply engaged fan or regular attendee.
