3 New Power Automate Connectors

3 New Power Automate Connectors

Writers Help with AI, Climate Change Concerns and Microsoft Teams notifications are the subject of these new connectors.

Three disparate connectors recently dropped. Of the three, its difficult to say which one could have the most impact, and we’re always finding new connectors to talk about. I’d hope that the one regarding climate change which could in theory help us all live another day would be the clear winner, but the AI writing connector stands out. Let’s take a closer look!

Pling

Microsoft Teams users may find that in a sea of notifications, you can help yours stand out by using the “Send a Teams Notification” action from Pling with an exclamation point next to it. While I suppose this can help specific messaging get the notice it deserves, I’m not sure how much value it adds to your automations. You could just use the Microsoft first-party Teams connector to do more actions that make more impact.

Tree-Nation connector
Tree-Nation

A global reforestation project, the Tree-Nation seeks to address climate change and to reduce CO2 output by both citizens and companies. Their goal is to plant 1 trillion trees by 2050. The new Tree-Nation Power Automate connector is the 15th I’ve identified that addresses various aspects of climate change and/or sustainability. This connector automates your ability to help in specific ways, or to encourage others to help with this project without actually planting the trees yourself. A great use case might be to set particular goals for yourself or your company that when accomplished result in trees being planted. Picture a map of your chosen plot of land where each time you plant a tree, one gets added to your map until there’s a whole forest, except it’s live! Actions include:

  • Create a new user.
  • Get a user forest details, or user forest tree count (by slug).
  • Get all projects.
  • Get the details about a project.
  • Get the available planting sites in a project.
  • Get the available species in a project. (Only those species with stock > 0 can be used for planting.)
  • Get details about a species.
  • Plant a tree.
  • Buy a credit.
  • Get the details about the tree template of a planter.
  • Update the message of a tree template.

Come to think of it, you might just want to get out there and dig a few holes yourself.

WriteSonic

Writesonic AI writer helps you to write SEO-optimized, long-form (up to 1500 words) blog posts and articles for publication anywhere on the web. The connector automates many functions that a writer might require. These include a host of actions that cover writing needs including: Amazon headlines and product descriptions, blog posts, Google ads, company bios, Instagram captions, LinkedIn articles, YouTube and TikTok hooks and more. This one might even require a deep dive by me. I’ll let you know what I find.
